Veronica as a teenager in Budapest wearing one of the traditional Hungarian "peasant" dresses for a school dance.

My grandmother Veronica with my father Matthew Erdelyi on the beach in Caracas, Venezuela after the war.

My grandmother was born on June 12, 1919 in Budapest, Hungary.

I believe this photo was taken by my grandfather Miklos on his honeymoon with my grandmother, this was the balcony of the hotel where they stayed.

Margit Keszler Foldes, my great-grandmother who survived a mass-murder (my film "pareidolia" deals with her survival story).

Miklos Erdelyi

“I found his appearance intriguing. A very alert face, high forehead, sunken cheeks under prominent cheekbones, eyes alive behind the gold-rimmed glasses. He was tall. And his voice was warm and engaging. “--Veronica Foldes Frame

My grandparents, Miklos Erdelyi and Veronica Foldes married on August 22, 1940 in Budapest. There were 3 steps (she says)—town clerk, private service with her father at the Methodist Church, and a small service at the Dohany-utca Jewish synagogue (I believe this photo is in front of the synagogue).
The reception was at the Lukacs confectionary on Andrassy Utca for about 70 guests.
